Why Reseal your stencil or stamped driveway with a CLEAR sealer?

Has Your Driveway Lost Its Shine?

Thousands of stencil / stamped driveways have been laid in recent years.

Many people however, are not aware that pressure cleaning and Resealing with a clear sealer is essential every 2-4 years or so.

The colour in the concrete is usually quite thin, and with vehicle use/sun exposure, the colour will eventually wear out back to plain concrete as illustrated below.

The result is the above driveway surface is ruined. The surface above would need to be Recoloured (we have Recoloured many)

                  AVOID/DELAY PERMANENT DAMAGE

Resealing will help protect the colour, acting as a "wearing layer", therefore extending the life of the surface, and restoring your driveway to an attractive “wetlook” appearance.

Think of it like our delicate facial skin facing the daily onslaught of the sun. We apply protective moisturisers/sunscreens to delay our skin damage.

Applying a protective clear sealer to decorative concrete surfaces does similar - the colour is simply natural oxides rubbed into the concrete surface - common sense says the colour will wear out quicker without protective maintenance.

Hence the need to periodically (2-4 years) Reseal stencil & stamped concrete surfaces to delay concrete surface colour damage.

We routinely maintain our facial skin - so why not maintain the "facial" skin of our home, our driveway?

Unfortunately, there are some unlicensed cowboys out there - so beware! Always ensure you employ someone whom is licensed for this work.
